Thank You While preparing the Sabbath school lesson last Friday evening, I was praying and asking the Lord for ways to share with the class, ways they could be proclaiming the three angels' messages in the community. The phone rang and it was a long distance call from a little country town called Cohuna, in Victoria, and the gentleman on the other end said: “I am calling to say thank you. In fact more than thank you, because thanks to you, I have discovered that Saturday is the Sabbath and that it is important. It is like a veil has been lifted from my eyes and I can now see clearly and now I understand why so many denominations worship on Saturday. I don't know whether I am ready or not for what God is calling me to do, but I suppose I have a lot of decisions to make. I have been thinking of calling you for a few days, but this evening I felt I had to call you.”

Up to this point I still didn't know who he was, but after questioning him for a while I managed to identify him. The previous April, when I had a display in the park at the Sanitarium Fun Day, I spoke with him and discovered we had many things in common. He was health conscious, trying to do his best according to the knowledge he had, and he loved our Lord and Saviour. He worshipped at the Assembly of God Church. I gave him The Ministry of Healing and a combined version of Steps to Christ and The Great Controversy.

Gary read the books and the Holy Spirit convicted him that the books were inspired and that the author was a prophet. He asked me many questions and is looking forward to knowing more. So far he has gone to his minister and given him the books and is praying that the minister's eyes will also be opened. This man is a 45 year old dairy farmer and is convinced God is calling him now to be one of us and, what is even better, to teach others the precious truth he has just discovered. I have invited him to come and visit the church here and give his testimony so that it may encourage the members to sow the seeds. We never know when the soil is ready and will bring forth fruit.

In the meantime, I will be sending Gary some more literature and will aim to place in his home the Bible Reference Library.

The Lord is quick to answer our prayers. I was able to encourage the class to share the printed page with their friends and with whomever the Lord impresses them to do so. He has promised it will not return empty.

So, my dear friends, keep up the good work sharing the good news, and love people enough to share with them the wonderful words of life. - Noemi Cummings, Southern Area
